The new Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus provides outstanding performance and headroom for your dual processor (DP) workstation and server needs. Available in speeds of 2.80, 2.66, 2.40, and 2 GHz, the increased system bus frequency supports greater memory, I/O and graphic bandwidths. Based on the Intel NetBurst microarchitecture, the Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus also includes 512 KB L2 cache and Hyper-Threading Technology. Hyper-Threading Technology improves processor performance for multi-threaded applications or multi-tasking environments by supporting multiple software threads on each processor system. Initially introduced for dual processor (DP) and multiprocessor (MP) servers, Hyper-Threading Technology is now available for DP workstations based on Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus and the new Intel E7505 chipset. |
